I'm a film and video editor and director. I got my start cutting behind-the-scenes videos for up-and-coming rappers, then short documentaries and music videos for artists ranging from J. Cole to Inge and the TritoneKings, a 90-year-old Holocaust survivor fronting a death metal band. That early work shaped the way I think about storytelling: the best material lives where you least expect it.
Since then, I've edited seven feature films and a two-part documentary series distributed by HBO, Amazon, and PBS, and produced branded content for major production companies. As a director, my films have screened at such festivals as Sundance, been distributed by The New York Times, and earned the Jury Award for Directing at DOC NYC, a Cinema Eye Honor nomination for Outstanding Achievement in Short Nonfiction, and a spot on the Academy Award shortlist. In 2020, I was named to the DOC NYC 40 Under 40 list.
My work often explores themes of identity, memory, and transformation — and whether I'm cutting a project or directing one, I bring a collaborative, detail-oriented approach and a deep belief that form and feeling should always push each other forward.
